The manage volunteering page lets you search and filter to quickly find specific completed sessions you're looking for. This includes checking on absences from sessions, finding sessions with extra on-day registrations, or narrowing down sessions by location or date. This article walks through each of the search and filter options available.
Before you start
- Open the left-hand navigation bar and select Manage volunteering
- Select the Completed tab to access these search and filter options.
Search and filter for completed sessions
Step 1. Search by event name
- Use the search field to type in a specific activity name. This also returns events with matching keywords, or matching words in the event description.
Step 2. Apply filters to narrow your results
Alongside the search field, you'll find a range of filters to help you refine the list:
- Location – Filter by the location of the event, including Online. The drop-down displays all locations with a completed event, based on the suburb recorded in the event address.
- Date range – Filter for events that took place within a specific time period.
- Collections – Filter for events that are part of a specific collection.
- Labels – Filter for events associated with a label created by your company.
Step 3. Use quick filters
Select one or more quick filters to narrow your results further:
- Has absences – sessions where a registered volunteer did not attend. These volunteers were marked absent by a team leader, volunteer coordinator, or admin from the volunteer registrations page.
- Extra on-day registrations – sessions that had registrations added on the day by an admin, volunteer coordinator, or team leader, using the add volunteer and hours feature on the volunteer registrations page.
Step 4. Review your results
- As you apply search terms and filters, the results update in the table below, split across the General volunteering and Skilled volunteering tabs.
- Combine multiple filters at once to get a more precise list — for example, filtering by location and the Has absences quick filter will show you exactly which nearby sessions had volunteers who didn't attend.
Note: Each tab only displays events matching your search and filter criteria within that category — check both tabs if you're not sure which category an event falls under.
