Yes, you can choose to donate anonymously on the platform. This option allows you to keep your name hidden from colleagues and other platform users while still ensuring your donation is processed correctly and securely.
How anonymous donations work
When you select the anonymous donation option during checkout, your name will not be displayed on the activity feed for the giving activity and will not be shared to the charity.
Your company and the platform provider (Catalyser) will still retain your donation information for record-keeping, reporting, and payroll purposes if applicable.
Note: Your anonymity applies to visibility within your organisation, not to the company’s internal records.
Sharing your information with the charity
During the donation process, you may see an option to “Share my name and email with the charity.”
Here’s what this means:
If you select this option, you consent for your name and email address to be shared with the charity you’re donating to.
-
This allows the charity to contact you directly. For example, to:
Send updates on how your donation is being used, or
Include you in their future communications, such as newsletters or marketing emails.
By opting in, you give the charity permission to add your details to their contact list.
If you do not select this option, the charity will receive your donation but will not know your identity. Your information remains confidential between your company and the platform.
Important
Opting to donate anonymously hides your name from colleagues on the platform, but not from your company’s internal donation records.
Sharing your details with a charity is entirely optional and subject to your consent.
Charities are responsible for managing any communications you receive once you opt in.
