Default registration questions let you save questions that your company or partner charities often need from volunteers when they take part in a volunteering activity. Once saved, these questions can be quickly added when creating a volunteering event, rather than having to recreate them each time.
Before you start
- Open the left-hand navigation bar and hover over Create giving activities.
- Select Activities settings from the menu that appears.
- Find the Registration questions row and select Manage.
Create a default registration question
Step 1. Select add new question
- Select the Add new question button. A modal titled Create new registration question will appear.
Step 2. Enter your question
- In the Question field, enter the question you want to ask volunteers.
- For example, you might enter "What is your t-shirt size?"
Step 3. Add your answer options
- Below the question field, enter the answer options you want volunteers to choose from.
- Select the plus symbol to add another answer option.
- Select the rubbish bin symbol next to an answer option to remove it.
- For example, for a t-shirt size question, you might add the answer options S, M, L, and XL.
Step 4. Submit or cancel
- Once you've entered your question and answer options, select Submit to save the question.
- If you no longer wish to create the question, select Cancel instead.
Note: Creating a default registration question does not automatically apply it to all volunteering events. When you create a volunteering event, you'll be shown all your saved default registration questions and can choose which ones to add to that event. This means you can include the questions that are relevant and leave out any that aren't, without having to rebuild the form each time.
How do I edit or delete a saved question?
- Next to each saved question, select the three dot action menu.
- Select Edit to make changes to the question and its answer options.
- Select Delete to permanently remove the question from your list of default registration questions.
Confirmation and next steps
Once submitted, your new question will be added to the list of default registration questions. It will be available to select the next time you create a volunteering event.
