Registered charities
Registered charities are verified organisations on the platform.
Verification is carried out through various registries, such as the ACNC in Australia, and through organisations like The Intelligent Foundation.
This process ensures charities are legitimate and trustworthy.
Other organisations
Other organisations refers to volunteering efforts for organisations or individuals that are not a formally registered charity. These may also be referred to as a personal cause or beneficiary.
Other organisations can include:
- Smaller organisations – those not yet formally registered as a charity.
- Direct support for individuals – such as assisting an elderly community member, or another individual in need.
Important: We cannot verify the legitimacy of other organisations. As the event creator, whether you are an admin or an employee with permission, you are responsible for ensuring the credibility of these beneficiaries.
