The manage volunteering page lets you quickly find upcoming volunteering events using search, filters, and quick filters. This is useful when you're looking for a specific event, or want to narrow down events by location, date, or other criteria.
Before you start
- Open the left-hand navigation bar and select Manage volunteering.
- On the manage volunteering page, select the Upcoming sessions tab.
Search and filter events
Step 1. Search by event name
- Enter the name of a volunteering event in the search field.
- Your search will also return events with matching keywords, or matching words in the event description.
Step 2. Apply filters to narrow your results
Alongside the search field, you'll find a range of filters to help you refine the list:
- Location – Filter by the location of the event, including online. The drop-down displays all locations with an upcoming event, based on the suburb recorded in the event address.
- Date range – Filter for events taking place within a specific time period.
- Collections – Filter for events that are part of a specific collection.
- Labels – Filter for events associated with a label created by your company.
Step 3. Use quick filters
Select one or more quick filters to narrow your results further:
- Starts in 14 days – Events due to start within the next 14 days.
- Unassigned team leader – Events that do not yet have a team leader assigned.
- Minimum numbers not met – Events that have not yet reached the minimum number of volunteers needed for the event to run. This minimum set is set during event creation and may be edited.
- Spots available – Events that still have volunteer spots open. The spots available for a session is set during event creation and may be edited.
- Has registration deadline – Events with a registration deadline set. This registration deadline is set during event creation and may be edited.

Step 4. Review your results
- As you apply search terms and filters, the results update in the table below, split across the General volunteering and Skilled volunteering tabs.
- Combine multiple filters at once to get a more precise list — for example, filtering by location and the Unassigned team leader quick filter will show you exactly which nearby events still need a leader.
Note: Each tab only displays events matching your search and filter criteria within that category — check both tabs if you're not sure which category an event falls under.
