There are two main types of volunteering: general volunteering and skilled volunteering.
General volunteering
This type of volunteering involves offering your time and effort to complete tasks that may not require specific professional skills or experience.
Examples of general volunteering activities include:

- Participating in a park clean-up day
- Assisting with fundraising events
Skilled volunteering
Skilled volunteering leverages your professional skills and knowledge to benefit a cause.
This allows you to contribute your expertise and make a significant impact on the organisation you're volunteering for.
Examples of skilled volunteering activities include:
-
- Offering graphic design services to a local charity
- Providing legal advice to a pro bono organisation
- Sharing your web development skills to build a website for a non-profit
