A volunteering event is a type of giving activity where employees can contribute their time and skills to meaningful causes.
Events may include:
General volunteering, these may be hands-on opportunities, such as preparing meals in a soup kitchen or packing food hampers.
Skilled volunteering, that offer opportunities where you use professional skills (e.g., IT, finance, design) to support an organisation.
Who can I volunteer for?
The platform offers flexibility in who you support:
Registered charities – formally verified organisations.
Other organisations or beneficiaries – organisations that are not formally registered as a charity, such as local community groups or individuals in need.

Note: If you cannot find a charity or organisation on the platform, request to see them by sending a support ticket. Learn how to send a support ticket.
Types of volunteering events
Volunteering events may be offered in different formats:
Fixed-date events – occur on a single, scheduled date (e.g., Mon 15 June, 9:00am–12:00pm).
Multi-date events – occur across consecutive days where you complete the required volunteer hours of commitment over a period of time.
Flexible events – do not have a set date. You can volunteer at a time that works best for you.
