Employees can register for volunteers who are not company employees during the event registration process. This feature helps you include guests, partners, or community participants and maximise your event’s reach.
Important: Public registrations must be enabled by the volunteer coordinator when the event is created.
If you don’t see the Add a public registration option, use the Message the volunteer coordinator feature at event registration to request that public registrations be allowed for the event.
Step 1. Select add a public registration
During the registration process, look for the option Add a public registration.
Select this to add a public registration.
Step 2. Enter volunteer details
- Enter the volunteer's first name and last name.
Step 3. Choose notification recipient
Decide who should receive the registration notification:
The volunteer – enter the volunteer’s email address so they receive confirmation directly.
An employee – search for the employee’s email address to have the notification sent internally instead.
Step 4. Provide additional information
Enter the volunteer’s phone number.
Add any additional volunteer information you would like to share with the volunteer coordinator.
Step 5. Save the registration
Select Save to add the volunteer to your event registration.
Step 6. Complete the registration process
After adding a public registration, continue with the remaining steps of the standard event registration. Learn more about registering for a volunteering event.
Limitations for public registrations
External volunteers will not have access to the event on the platform.
They will still receive all event-related information by email, including confirmation and any updates from the volunteer coordinator or team leader.
